Question about SUB Server

Exactly what information gets replicated between nodes?  If I build a gateway on PUB, should I be able to see those on SUB as well under Devices > Gateways.

  • Pretty much all information gets replicated. Yes you should be able to see gateways and all other devices on your Sub(s). If not you may have a replication issue. SSH into the Pub CLI and run the cmd "utils dbreplication status" and wait then follow its output to see the results and what to do.

  • Looks like PUB is not syncing with SUB.  I attempted to search the Cisco Online Help for 'Enterprise Replication' and the only item referenced is how to delete a server from a cluster.  Is this something I should be to able to turn on manually?

    admin:utils dbreplication status

     -------------------- utils dbreplication status --------------------

    connect to cucm7_pub_ccm7_1_3_10000_11 failed

    Enterprise Replication not active  (62)

command failed -- unable to connect to server specified  (5)

Replication status check is now running in background.

Use command 'utils dbreplication runtimestate' to check its progress

  • Hey Mark,

You can use the command utils dbreplication repair to repair the replication status between the two servers. If you encounter errors with this command, ensure both servers can reach each other through a basic ping test, and that service activation is not showing any issues. Finally, a restart of both servers may be necessary as well.

  • Thank you for the replies.  I'm not sure where it tanked, but I deleted the SUB node, performed a fresh install, and everything is syncing as expected.

  • Perfect. Yeah something seemed quite amiss with that replication message you had! :)
