Question about isdn outgoing display-ie

Hi,

For h323 gateway, we need isdn outgoing display-ie under serial interface, how about MGCP gateway?  I think we already configure it on CUCM, so we don't need this only need isdn bind-l3 ccm-manager, can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

  • Hi Peng,

This is not needed on a MGCP-controlled PRI in the IOS D-Channel serial interface because as you mentioned - all L3 Q.931 traffic is backhauled and controlled by the CUCM. However, it "may" be something you want to consider configuring in the IOS D-Channel interface IF that GW is ever to fallback to H.323 for use with SRST / CUCME as SRST and display is still a desired feature. In that scenario you would want to consider anything else that might need to go in that serial interface configuration as well.
