How much OER should we study to be ready for the new blueprint?
I mean if its necessary to go cover to cover in the doc cd this feature?
Thanks in advance.
Got to the OER stage of V5.0 volume 1 Routing and Switching and came up with a question. Is there a file we need for the initial OER setup as the tyext suggests this and I can't see it under the doco for the Ip Routing section.
Speaking on OER, does anyone know a good link on the cisco documentation to use as a configuration guideline? The path that I use Technology/IP/IP Routing/OER doesn't seem to work. Thank you in advance!!
It looks like Cisco needs to fix their link. I can get to the Command Reference, but not the CG.
Oh, here. This should work:
And here is an overview of OER with links to additional info at the bottom..
So in the workbook volume 1 V5.0 we get to OER and have a reasonable network running a number of different protocols. Is the intention we build and configure that network and then from that start the OER config? If this is the case are all routes to be visible around the network with no filtering going on? At this present state in the book we have just finished ODR and the routers have no dynamic config at all.
Here's a design guide I found, which is quite good and descriptive.
Any response yet ? The Workbook V5.0 asks us to load the initial OER configs. I'm guessing this is going to put the bgp in place ready for config of OER. If there is no config are we just to set up bgp with the AS area's as shown in the diagram?
I have moved on from this section but have posted an e-mail to Brian dennis too and had no reply. I just want to know what we are expected to do in the OER lab section.

I notice there is a link for initial configurations here - I hope this helps.
Great thanks Anthony,
May I suggest thatthis is included in the workbook configs under ip routing for the V5.0 routingand switching.
Thanks for the link.
