Loopback interfaces with non- /32 addresses

Could anyone please tell me why or when I'd want to assign a non- /32 address, like 10.10.10.10/24, to a loopback interface? I was learning how to get a non- /32 prefix advertised as it is on OSPF, but I cannot think of why I'd want a non- /32 address in the first place.
