Looking for suggestions to build full scale labs
Hi All
I recently started studying for CCIE Routing Switching and willing to sit on CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure. Can someone guide me how do i build the Foundation/Full scale/Mock labs?
I was thinking to get started on VIRL on my laptop as INE provides files to use on VIRL. Is that viable solution or
do i need to go for ESXi server and build VMs given the exam changes and topology would need to grow for my practice ?
Thank You

ypancholi001 - Did you evern get an answer? I have VIRL and I have seen INE's VIRL files. I am so surprise that there is not enough material out there on using VIRL for CCIE RS.
I didnt get a response on this. But i did build A lab on a server with gns3 vm and sdwan router vms
I'm beginning to study for the CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure lab, and I plan to use GNS3 with IOS and VIRL images (I have a VIRL subscription VIA work). It should be plenty for all layer 2 and 3 labs. What we will do for SDN and DNA is TBD, but I have plenty to learn until then.
I used GNS3 with IOS and VIRL images for my CCNP studies and it worked great. For anything after CCNA I'd suggest a dedicated server with ESXi to run GNS3. You can look for a cheap eBay PowerEdge server. That's what I did. At least a 4 core with 16GB of RAM. And higher specs if you plan to run more VMs from it.
I've recently brought a server, running eve-ng with CSR1000v and NX9000v (plus IOL images i was running on lower spec hardware). Only had it for a few days, managed to get VXLAN flood-and-learn running on the nexus switches. trying EVPN next.
Will the Nexus be on the Enterprise lab? or should i just stick to the CSR1000v?
Also, i've seen viptela it able to run in eve-ng. is it worth learning this, or has it completely changed since the DNA integration?
Update, after reading through the CCIE EI learning matrix, i think we only need to know VX-LAN (flood and learn) not EVPN. Whereas the CCIE data-centre clearly states EVPN. I think i'll brush up on my "5.1 Data encoding formats" , LSIP/VXLAN, and Cisco TrustSec. All of these will be covered for sure.

you are right. Actually i am going through the same topic. Using ine ccie data center advanced datacenter learning path videos but studied vxlan related videos. Also there are LISp related videos there too from Bryan
Michaeljaboyd- to your earlier question, i dont think there will be nexus in enterprise infra lab, as its not mentioned in the list which mentions devices n code we r going to see in lab. We will definately have sdwan/viptela and sd access.
