Just a few questions about the R&S lab in Brussels...

Hi gyus...

Just a few questions concerning the CCIE lab....in Brussels

Are sheets of paper provided ? If so, how many?
Are pens provided ?
Are earplugs provided ?

Is bringing my own food (energy bars) allowed and taking a break of 5 minutes allowed in the middle of the exam ?

Is it possible to save .txt files on the desktop ?

Is bringing extra cloth in the exam room allowed ? for example a pullover in case the room is too cold...

    Yeah well I asked specifically about Brussels... I've seen these videos already... And I'm not even sure , they are still accurate....

    Anyway I got my answers from Cisco after a couple of ping pong emails....

    Are two 24inch screens provided ?

    yes

    Is a qwerty US keyboard provided ?

    yes

    Are sheets of paper provided ? If so, how many?

    Two, but additional scratch paper is provided as needed.

    Are pens provided ?

    Yes

    Are earplugs provided ?

    Yes

    Is bringing my own food (energy bars) allowed

    Based on proctor approval, food and drinks may be allowed.

    and taking a break of 5 minutes allowed in the middle of the exam ?

    You can take as many breaks during the day as you like.

    Is notepad accessible from windows start menu or is it a link in the lab GUI ? Same question for the calculator ...

    I'm not sure what you mean by "a link in the lab GUI" unless you mean through the browser, but the tools provided are clearly visible from Windows itself. If you have any issues with finding them the proctor is certainly there to assist.

    Just one last question... I have been told that the terminal software is putty...

    Yes.

    Is changing the putty parameters/settings allowed ? (font color , font size , click behaviors)

    Yes.
