Cisco Switch 3560

Quick question about cisco ws-c3560-24ps-s v05 is good for CCNA, CCNP and CCIE or not? Please Advice. Thank you

Comments

  • From what I know it will be good for CCNA. For CCIE you need IOS 15 and only some versions of 3560 have enough flash to install IOS 15. I just bought 4 of them and I will check if I can install IOS 15 on it over the weekend. The ones I bought are "WS-3560-48PS-S V04", Im not sure yet if I can install 15 on them.

For CCNP I dont know the requirements.

  • my Switch information.

ROM: Bootstrap program is C3560 boot loader

BOOTLDR: C3560 Boot Loader (C3560-HBOOT-M) Version 12.2(44)SE5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

    SW1 uptime is 4 minutes

System returned to ROM by power-on

    System image file is "flash:/c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE11/c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE11.bin"

is this work for CCNP ?

    Thank you

  • as long as it is not PoE switch c3560, you are good . PoE cannot be upgraded to ios 15. only not PoE switch has flash big enough to load IOS 15.  except PoE Giga bit switch
