SAF and PSTN fail-over question
If you have SAF configured between CUCM and CME and in the CME dn-block you have the following
profile dn-block 1 alias-prefic 1989555
pattern 1 type extension 35XX
on loss of the SAF neighbor the CUCM phones should fail over to calling over the PSTN (assuimng proper globalization and a route exists to +198955535XX).
But what I have not been able to determine is what CSS gets used in this situation. I think it is the AAR CSS of the device calling 35XX either that or it does not really use a CSS as the user was already alowed to call 35XX.
Anyone have any idea?
Comments
I have confirmed it is the AAR calling search space of the device
I confirm, AAR CSS is used in case of SAF/CCD PSTN failover.
Just make sure you assign a AAR group & AAR CSS on the devices/device pools.
Usually, AAR group prefix is blank when dealing with E.164 patterns
