  • They are not going to put you in a situation of not being able to find the solution/issue. It would be impossible to pass the exam that way.

    Yes debug command is available in the lab exam, but you must disable or do the "undebug all" or "u all" command before the end of the ts or config sections because this could interrupt the grade script Cisco will use to score your exam and might result to you failing the exam. [:)]

    In the lab exam.......DEBUG and SHOW commands are your best friends.  When you study Troubleshooting (TS), each technology becomes easier to understand.  Understanding how each technology can break.....how to identify something broken......and then how to fix it.

    Learn DEBUG/SHOW for each and every technology.   Knowing the available commands for the given technology will help with the TS process (as well as the eduction about that technology).  Quicker and more rifled approach (vs shotgun).  1..2...3  issue(s) resolved.

    As stated by TManito, be sure and turn any debugs off.  Rebooting will also do this.
