Shaping along the bandwidth statemnt;

hi Everybody,

 

I have a question regarding to shaping in Qos. For example when you have shaping for 20M  in a 100M link. does it matter if I increased the bandwidth statement under the interface ? even if I issued the bandwidth statement to 1gig my Qos proportions reference still is going to be based on the shaper right?
