Dot1X/MAB with WS-C3560-8PC

Anyone done any dot1x stuff on the small 8 port switch? I can't seem to find  'authentication' 'dot1x' or 'mab' interface level configurations.

I have tried ipbase/ipservices images for both 12.2 and 15.0 images.

Did you complete the require configuration:

    Enable AAA

Create an 802.1X authentication method list

    Enable 802.1X globally

  • Hi DennisD,

    I have done all that.

    dot1x system-auth-control

    aaa new-model

    aaa authentication dot1x default local

    aaa authentication login default local

    LAB(config)#int f0/1

    LAB(config-if)#aaa ?

      connect-info  aaa connection-info

    LAB(config-if)#authe?

    % Unrecognized command

    LAB(config-if)#do?

    down-when-looped

    LAB(config-if)#do

    LAB#sh ver

  • Hi
Did you configure the interface with "switchport mode access"

  • That did it! Kinda wrong for me to assume access mode would be the default. I'm almost too embarrased to have missed that one out.

    Thanks Allysson
