Task 1.6

Hi,

the proposed solution:

<span class="code-bold">ASA2:</span>
nat-control
nat (INSIDE) 10 130.1.81.0 255.255.255.0
!
global (OUTSIDE) 10 130.1.8.1-130.1.8.31
global (OUTSIDE) 10 interface<br /><br />can't be applied as the software version is:

asa2# sh ver

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.4(5)6

and it doesn't support 'nat-control'.

I see the image for 8.2 and I'm going to change it but the default software loaded (on rack #5 ) is 8.4

asa2# dir

Directory of disk0:/

110 -rwx 25270272 12:45:14 Oct 18 2013 asa845-6-k8.bin
111 -rwx 15390720 12:45:58 Oct 18 2013 asa825-k8.bin

Hubert

  • Hi,

It may have been a temporary issue on the script loading the initial configs, cause this is the initial config template for ASA2:

    enable

    configure terminal

    no logging enable

    boot system disk0:/asa825-k8.bin

    boot system disk0:/asa845-6-k8.bin

    end

    write memory

    reload

    Regards,

    Cristian.

    asa1# sh ver

This is from saved config and on asa2 I removed boot from 8.4, but probably the device boot up from 8.4 desipte the order is the same as on asa1, after reloading it is fixed. It look like the device boots up and then the script copy the initial config

    regards
