BVI Interface in IOS-XR - VPLS / L2Tx

Hi,

we are in process of segregating Layer-2 traffic and after dividing traffic into seperate VRF's, the next stage is to have a route-interface.

I am following this document and works well for our lab device which is in 4.3.2, i am trying to configure a route-interface for vpls, but parser is not letting me to configure one, am i doing something wrong here ?

  • Just checking that you have set up a logical layer 2 subinterface (using the interface 'gigabitethernet0/1/0/0.13 l2transport' command and then any desired 'encapsulation dot1q ...' commands inside that) as well as actually creating the brodge group before you can create a bvi interface?

  • Our boxes are running 3.9.1, which likely doesn’t support that feature.
