Data Center Specialist Question
I've been asked by my employer to obtain the DC specialization certification, which consists of two exams... DCUFI v5 642-997 and DCUFI v6 642-980.
I do not work in a data center. I work on various projects, e.g., configuring/troubleshooting CME routers, configuring portions of cisco switches and routers, cameras, etc. I need some advise as to where to start. Do I go for the CCNA Data Center cert first or I can start studying for this exam w/o any prior DC certification? I have a CCNP in R&S.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I just found the information on CCO indicating that there are no prerequisites prior to taking this exam so I'm good. Thanks!
I'm going through the CCNP-DC at the moment for our Cisco partnership status at work and just have the DCUFT (642-980) exam left. As you already found, you do not need the CCNA in order to obtain the Cisco Unified Fabric Support Specialist certification. If you wanted to complete the CCNP-DC cert however, you would need to circle back and complete the CCNA-DC as well.
