interfaces won't go up on routers

Hi all,

I have booked 1 hour couple of minutes ago and i had a really strong issue.

i was on rs5rack2 and i was not able to get any interfaces up on any interfaces.

Did you already had a similar issue?

  • Hi there,

You need to do a "no shut" on the physical interface i.e Gig1 and the logical interface you want to enable. In the output you've posted, Gig2 is shown as up - so you are able to get interfaces to come up.

    Thanks,

    Michael.

  • Oups, you're right.

    thank you for your help.

  • You have to "no shut" the physical interface.

     int g1
     no shutdown

    Hth,
    Erwin
