Eigrp PE-CE problem

I am recreating task 4.4 MPLS L3VPN with EIGRP as the PE-CE protocol on both sides, for some reason  the vpnv4 routes do not want to be redistrbuted to eigrp.  I am getting this problem on both sides , but to keep this short am concentrating on  R1-R2 side.   R1 = CE , R2 = PE

 

on R2,

i have vnpv4 working fine... am getting the vpnv4 routes from the other side....

  • Hey for  future reference everytime u distribute eigrp into bgp don't forget metrics ok so redistribute eigrp  1 1000 100 1500 u knw keep n thos also applies to ospf thus u will redistribute ospf 1 I match I n ext ok

  • trying flushing the route table (of the vrf) to kick start the redistribution process.

    I have had this issue serveral times in the past specifically with eigrp/vrf redistribution

    clear ip route vrf XYZ *

     

  • Hi 1000,

     

    have tried this aswell, no luck i'm afraid. when I redistribute but  specify an eigrp metric , it works fine-- so it seems to have some issue with the encoded eigrp cost community in the vpnv4 routes. I'll leave it as one of those 'strange things'.

    Please use some metric values inorder to redistribute routes in to EIGRP (Simply 1 1 1 1 1 is not working for me. Please use something like 100000 10 255 1 1500).
