  • Not sure how it is in US but here in Australia, you can't really measure based on a certification... 

    If you are good on what you do and have experience, you can get paid a lot more than that even without certs

    However, if you don't have any experience but have whatever level of cert, good luck on even trying your first salary.

    so, cert doesn't mean salary, at all!

  • I understand that.  I was being obnoxious.  I can say from experience that location makes a huge difference as well.  Still, getting an email with a graphic that states that the average CCNA makes as much as I do with a CCNP and 15+ years in makes me sad.
