Cisco Documentation CD

Hi All,

A few questions

1. When someone talk about DOC CD is the same as Cisco Documentation CD?

2. On the Lab Exam, will they give me the same CD to use it or i can access Cisco Web Site to use the Documentation CD?

3. What is the link for the Documentation CD?

regards

The Doc CD is the same as the Cisco Documentation CD/DVD and the
UniverCD.  The url is http://www.cisco.com/univercd/ which is what you
will have access to in the lab.

  • Ha... and yesterday Cisco just made the following announcement:

CCIE labs changing from UniversCD to Cisco Documentation

22 AUG 2008: On Sept 24 2008 CCIE labs will no longer support using the UniversCD documentation for the lab exam.

    All
labs are migrating to Cisco Documentation only. For those scheduled to
take the CCIE lab prior to Sept 24 access will still be available for
    UniversCD.

The Cisco Documentation pages have the same
information that currently resides on UniversCD, please refer to the
links on the CCIE web pages to view these pages and become familiar
    with the new format.

After Sept 24 2008 only the Cisco Documentation web pages will be available for CCIE labs.

However, I could not find a link (as they mentioned above) on the CCIE web pages - these links are still referring to the UniverCD documentation. Am I right in assuming that with "Cisco Documentation web pages" they are referring to the "Cisco Technical Support and Documentation" site on http://www.cisco.com/web/psa/products/index.html?

    Thanks,

    Martin

  • GDay How Everyone,

With this announcment about the change in the Univercd moving I know at the begining of the Advanced Tech Classes Brian talks about handy tips and advice when moving around the documentation. Will the Advanced Tech Class be updated to reflect this?

    Cheers

    John

  • This has always been there I think I just always ignored it.  Also its funny that you are bounced here real quick http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_documentation.html?linkpos=Documentation_pad before actually getting to the correct page.  Haven't really looked at it too much a little bit differnent to navigate, but I think the same things are covered.

    http://www.cisco.com/web/psa/products/index.html

Beginning May 14, 2007, Cisco will begin migrating product documentation from the Cisco Connection

Online (CCO) Documentation site to the Cisco Technical Support and Documentation site on Cisco.com.

As documents are migrated, they are replaced with redirects to the new locations. Please update your

bookmarks to reflect new document URLs. Additionally, new product documentation will begin to appear

only on the Technical Support and Documentation site.

  • who knows, is there a Documentation DVD on every candidates PC, or internet connectivity is limited to cisco.com/and-so-on ?

I heard that in some locations http has poorly speed, so it is hard to navigate the Documentation.
