Enhanced L2 licence on rack rental N5k's
Unless I am mistakeneing dense or both?
the N5k switches in the rental racks don't have enhanced L2 licences. This means no fabric path.
can anyone shed any light on this?

Nexus 5020 doesn’t support FabricPath. You can do it on any of the N7Ks or on rack 8 on the 5548s.

Are there any plans to add fabricpath to the workbook?
It’s in the videos. There’s only a handful of commands that are relevant for it.

Thanks for the swift responses,
I know it's not complex to implement but it is an exam topic. It would be nice gain familiarity with it, both as a protocol in its own right and as part of deploying vPC+
Can you ask for a specific rack when you book a rental? I wasn't aware that you could.
You can’t specify a rack when booking through the rack scheduler, but if you email [email protected] and request rack 8 they should be able to help you out. Note that you can still do 100% of features of fabricpath on any normal rack rental on the 7Ks though. The syntax is identical to the 5Ks.

Thanks for the information Brian, I'll be sure to request rack number 8 to study and test Fabricpath and vPC+.
When configuring Fabricpath and vPC+ On a n7k (where it's not supported on the downstream 5k) only the vPC peer link will be enabled for Fabricpath?, making only the n7k's leaf switches. Is this a supported design? Or in reality would you expect to have more upstream N7k's to act as spine switches?
