Vendor Independant Voice Books

Hi,

Is there any vendor independant books that are recommended for voice?  On INE recommended reading, they only suggest Cisco propreitary books, but a lot of companys use different vendors.

    For basic, you can read Asterisk: The future of telephony. This is really a good book which starts from basic to advance level. Beyond this , you can work on cisco voice related books.

    The INE list is focused on the CCIE exams, that is why it lists Cisco books. Depending on the information you are looking for I recommend reading all the RFCs you can find if you want general, in depth knowledge of VoIP and related technologies.

    Most books are going to be vendor or product specific.
