  • Basically, you can collect the hardware specific outputs using " show inventory" & "show hardware".

  • I only found this output after i did show version/show hardware command:

cisco .....  with 458720K/65536K bytes of

2045K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.
8192K bytes of packet buffer memory.

65536K bytes of Flash internal SIMM (Sector size 512K).

So how could i know which size is for which MEM?

I tried to do (show hw-module command) and i got this

    Router#sh hw-module all entity
WARNING: This command is not intended for production use
and should only be used under the supervision of
    Cisco Systems technical support personnel.

    Router#

    128MB, 512MB, 512MB, 512MB, and 256MB.  Next question?

The first two would be visible as 'sh disk0' or 'sh disk1'.

The third one would be visible as 'sh ver | i with.*memory'.

Fourth one would probably be 'rem com swi sh ver | i with.*memory'.

Fifth one might be 'rem com sl # | i with.*memory'.

Happy to do your homework for you this time, but next time it's up to you!

  • Have you tried the following command:

    router#dir all-filesystems

I think you can see most of the stuff here.

    HTH
