Issue with CUC
Hello everyone.
Recently I installed a CUC version 7. After completing the intergration with CUCM whenver I press the messages button
on phone I do not hear any default greetings at all. The timer keeps on increasing but I cannot hear the attendant playing.
The voice ports show registered.
What can be the issue?
Is something wrong with the installation or configuration?

Is this is a remote pod/rack and your phones are at home? Or this is your home rack and phones are just connected as should be?
Sometime the issue appears for the remote phones, some firewall or routing issue might cause the issue.
Its a home rack and the phones are connected as they should be. The integration works fine as the voice ports show registered on
CUCM.
Can't figure out why the greetings are not playing and its a fresh install, should not give any problems.
Hi.
Have you installed the correct locales and what codec are you trying to use when calling into Unity Connection?
You may also want to check the port status are you are dialling in with this tool;

Regards,
Richard
It's a fresh install.
Everything is on default settings.
Are you dialling the Voicemail Port number or the Pilot number? Have you created the Hunt Pilot for this?
What codec are you using on the phones?
I am using G711 codec.
Yes, I have created the hunt pilot for this.
I am dialing from the messages button on the phone.
I have also tried dialing directly but still the same issue.
Yes, it is a simple integration.
I am attaching the screenshot of the RPSM output.

Do you even here the welcome prompt and asking for PIN?
Trying entering a PIN and see if it progress's - is there anything blocking traffic between the phone and the CUC - could it be a 1 way audio issue?
also check the direct routing rules and make sure it is set to "Attempt sign in"
Have u reset the vm hunt list? When the call is connected press ? Button twice on phone to see if u are getting send and rcv packets. Is the phone turned up :-)
Have you got this working? Are all the services running on the CUC?
No I do not hear the welcome prompt and neither it asks for PIN.
I tried entering the PIN but still the same issue no prompt is played.
I have checked the routing rules and it is set to Attempt Sign In.
I have reset the VM Hunt List and even reset the ports but still no success.
I can see packets send and receive changing.
I don't think that it is a one way audio issue because its a home lab and I have nothing else configured.
I guess it might be some issue with the installation that is affecting the prompts.
Yes, all the services in CUC are UP.
Yes, the phone is powered ON.
Have you followed the CUCM/CUCN SCCP integration guide? I would recommned that you go through this step-by-step.

I am also thinking of doing a reinstall because none of the methods seems to help.
Already wasted a lot of time trying to fix it.
Will go for reinstallation...

Issue resolved.....!!!! [:D]
Was reading one article on the internet and did the following steps and then everything started working fine..
1. Go to CUCM OS Administration
2. Then select Settings>IP>Ethernet
3. Mention default gateway. (In my case 142.100.64.254)
