MGCP Gateway

I have added an MGCP gateway to my lab.  When I debug mgcp packets I see a packet from CUCM to gateway with a 200 code.  Then another with a 500 then another with a RSIP restart.  This goes on over and over and the gateway never registers.  Suggestions?

Thanks

  • did you do a show CCM manager to see what you have listed as a name and match it against CUCM?

"500 The transaction could not be executed, because the endpoint is unknown".

  • I did that and it does match. Is it true it won't register without a voice endpoint installed?

  • Hello,

Please paste your gateway config also a brief what you have configured on UCM.

Did you reset the gateway from UCM also 'no mgcp/mgcp' from the gateway once?

    Thanks.

  • Thanks to all. I had to add a VWIC and pvdm to this router. Once they were added and configured in CUCM all was well.
