In the requirements it refers to Auto_RP has being the method of RP. In the solutions guides they refer to ip pim rp-address x.x.x.x override. All the docs I have read says this applies to Anycast RP. Is this a typo or am missing reading the docs?
By default, a statically configured RP will be overriden if another RP for the same group is learned via AutoRP. If you want the local router to ALWAYS prefer static RP, no matter what RP mappings you receive via AutoRP, the "override" keyword must be specified with static RP settings. This feature has no direct relation to Anycast RP feature, which is more likely an application of MSDP.
