Collaboration Lab Equipment

Hi,

I am getting ready to begin my studies for my CCIE and I have noticed that under the lab equipment section for the CCIE Voice, all of the equipment that is listed is still the CCIE Voice equipment. I understand the reason for needing to keep that lab setup in place and I have read through your tentative plans to migrate your classes and materials to the Collaboration outlines. The one thing that I haven't seen is the plans to move to the 29xx/39xx, UCS, 99xx phones, updated UC Versions, etc.

Also, I was planning on beginning my studies around the end of August. I am not sure that it would be feasible for me to begin the Voice course and be able to finish up in time to test in January. If I did prepay for the bootcamp would I be able to download the new content as it becomes available, or will I only be able to download the content that is available at the time of purchase? It seems as though the deal only includes the products that are currently available (as far as the "CCIE VOICE ATC Download" is concerned).

Thanks a lot for any info you could provide!

You will be happy to read this blog post by Mark Snow: http://blog.ine.com/2013/05/31/ine-will-treat-collaboration-as-ccie-voice-v4-for-customers/

  • Thanks, Alexander. I read this a while back and was glad to read the post by Mark Snow.

I'm a little behind on my studies, but I have passed my written test now and ready to move forward on studying. Does anyone on here know when INE will be updating the rack rental equipment to match what is going to be used for the Collaboration lab?

  • Does anyone have a list for a set of "budget" home lab gear for the collaboration. I have my voice lab scheduled but it's my first, and with the inability to get any other seat, only attempt for voice. I want to be ready to start studies for collaboration if needed.

    Thanks all!
