TFTP files from CUCM7?
Can someone tell me how to tftp files from my CUCM 7 server to files on my desktop. They're on the same network. I ran this command and got this.
C:>tftp -i 20.1.1.25 GET SCCP41.8-4-1S.loads
Timeout occurred
Connect request failed
Is there something I need to configure on the CUCM to make this work, or is
there something else I'm missing?
Also, another question. On the Cisco Unified Communication Manager
Software Compatibility Matrix they're firmware version for each
phone that goes with each version of Call Manager. Is that document saying that
a phone won't handle a higher firmware version that's listed in the document or
are they're exceptions. Just trying to get a firm understanding....

Can you pull ANY files from the server? I would reset TFTP services as well before trying to transfer.

I'm running this command from a Win7 pc at the command prompt. I restarted the tftp service multiple times with no luck.
First search the file on CUCM OS admin where it resides. The output of the search has a file name and the directory where it resides. You have to give exact path (case sensitive) and file name in tftp get on windows7 command line to retrieve the file. If the file is on CUCM server in tftp serve path you can pull it. Another thing you have to watch out for is if the file size is > 64Mb. Alternatively try with jounin or 3cTFTP client which is lot more easier than using windows tftp client.
