Fast busy to BR2 CUE from HQ with RSVP enabled

Hello all,

I'm getting fast busy when dial CUE pilot from CorpHQ. I have 64k Optional (video desired) RSVP configured between HQ and BR2.

Have no trouble calling BR2 DNs from HQ. 

Calls go through if RSVP removed.

    Please post your CorpHQ router & Branch2 router configs.

    Can you access the CUE from CorpHQ without RSVP involved? Though you said 'Calls go through if RSVP removed.' but I want to reconfirm only.

  • Hmm. The G.729r8 & G.729br8 codecs are not included into the transcoder on Branch2 router, whereas the RSVP MTP is set with G.729r8 codec. Can you add these codecs and test the call again?

  • All good now. Thank you for the help! 

  • Another "best practice" is to include "codec pass-through" on your MTP.

    That way the MTP will allow negotion to occur then fallback to the static if required.

     

    But in your case it was missing the codecs in your transcoder :)
