CTI RP unknown to CUCM for UCCX

Hi Community,

My CTI RP are unknown to CUCM for UCCX.  I have been unable to locate my issue.  Could someone point me in the right direction to look?

 

Device Name | Description | Device Pool | Calling Search Space | Partition | Extension | Status | IP Address

 Oceanic    |   Oceanic   | Default     |                      |           |  1XXX     | Unknown | Unknown

    Things you may need to check first.
    • In Uccx goto the sytem-Control Center and make sure the Status is IN _SERVICE
    • Go to susbsystem -CM telephony group and run a data resync to check if you get any errors.
    • Also run the Cisco Jtapi Resync under susbsystem-CM telelphony group and make sure the client package is consistent.
    • If the above things look good to you, then try restarting the CCX Engine Service.
    • After the service is restarted,create  a new application and then add a new trigger to see if the UCCX is able to create a CTI_RP for this trigger in CUCM with successful registeration.
    If this dosen't work let us know and hope this helps.

    Whenever I attempt to start the Unified CCX Engine, it returns to a shutdown state.  Where are the logs for this service?  I am running 8.5.1 in my home lab.

  • Paul,

    Can you tell us what is the exact version of the UCXX (With the Major,Minor & Maintanence) release  you're running?? It might help because; there was a bug reported until 8.5.1 SU2 that was causing this issue and I think Cisco fixed it in later 8.5.1 SU3.



    Please make sure your not hitting this bug.
