7.6 - Solution does not seem to work

I implemented the same solution as the SG, but the output of "show ip accounting access-violations" is always empty.

IOS release is  c1841-adventerprisek9-mz.124-24.T.bin

Note sure if I am doing something wrong or if i am hitting a bug. I even telneted to BB2 to generate some traffic and make sure it was being dropped by the inbound ACL, still cant get it to show something in the accounting output.

Did anyone else run into this issue ?

Cheers.

  • HI,

Please use numbered access-list instead if you were using Named.  I am wondering why Vol-2 does not have these kind explaintions.

I am able to see output by using number access-list as follows:

    Rack1R5#show ip accounting access-violations
       Source           Destination              Packets               Bytes   ACL
     192.10.1.254     150.1.4.4                        3                 300   111
     192.10.1.254     224.0.0.5                        2                 152   111
     192.10.1.254     192.10.1.5                       1                  79   111

    Accounting data age is 6

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

thanks for your help, but according to my note I was using a numbered access-list too (access-list 100). Note sure what I was doing wrong...
