What is the best INE resource for Security written, 350-018

I'm looking for some current information. It seems there are two tracks at INE for security, the boot camp videos and advanced technologies videos. They seem to be v3.0 and from either 2005 and 2009 respectively.

The Cisco CCIE security video seems to be refreshed in 2005 and has very old technologies.

I attempted the R&S written exam as well and noticed that the questions on the exam were very different from the what was available in the Cisco Press book (fourth edition) as well as both the tracks available from INE. Basically I spent $350 to find out the materials they I bought were out of date. I had no problem passing the written in 2009 with these materials, I breezed right through the written and lab in 4 1/2 months.

I'd like to do the same with security but it really feels like the materials for R&S and security are both really out of date.

  • Do you mean for the new v4.0 written for security?

The ATC Videos are from 2011, they should give you a good foundation for the current V3 written exam.

  • Print the blue print and check mark every topic that you really understand and invest more time on topic that you're not really sure about. Once you get all the check mark, you're ready for written.

  • Thanks, this helps a bunch. I didn't realize that the ATC had a verison 3.5. I kept seeing v3.1 from the drop-down on my dashboard as the latest version. I looked around and found the link to the 3.5 version.

I wonder why it is consistent either in the location of the videos, how they are listed, the names, or where they are located.
