Would "compress lzs" also work as a solution? SG had "compress stac".

  • I noticed that when doing "show compress" with "compress lzs" configured I got the following:

    I looked real quick in the DOC area, but couldn't find good references I could manually go to in the future to jar my memory if I get stuck.

  • I found it while looking through the 'DOC-CD' that the MPPC is also LZ based.

    This is also described in the RFC.

    They do request the one that is more CPU intensive. This seems to be the STAC compresion.

  • I have read a little while and i believe Stac is Cisco's impelemtation of Lempel-Ziv algorithm, so both should be valid as they're software intensive opossed as predictive method

     

    i configured both (in different Serial) and this is my output (see that Cisco stac shows more info ... additional)
