Meetme & MRGL
If we want to force CUCM to use hardware conference resources for a Meetme conference
I think best way is to add a MRGL to conference initiator's phone.
This MRGL should have a MRG containing hardware conference bridge.
Software CFBs of callmanager servers can be left in default MRG (no MRG)
Is this method ok?

I put my software resources in a site based MRG and the site hardware in a MRG. Those go into a prioritized MRGL.
MRGL go into the device pool. unless there is specific reason to do on a per device basis.

Think your response if based on do not do extra programming (speed) if not required? Question once you place a resource in a MRG does not not get removed from the default (null) MRG? More of a Best practice and not a CCIE voice tactical question.

Best practice is to set the Run Flag to False for the SW CFB and SW MTP in the IPVMSA service parameters. Then you do not need to worry about null MRG (though that is still a valid older method).
