task 3.1 : lmi type missing in SG?

for R3, int s1/0 : "no frame-relay lmi-type ansi" is missing in SG ?

otherwise fr map stays down

(initial configs have ansi type on R3, cisco type on R1 & R2)

  • Food for thought. If the questoin does not stipulate an LMI type you can in essence choose either as long as it matches both ends. However your best way is to run "debug frame-relay lmi" shut/unshut the port and see what output you get. It is all determined by the FR switch at the end of the day :-)

    Code for LMI ANSI:
    Jan 24 20:02:15.025: FR encap = 0x00010308
    *Jan 24 20:02:15.025: 00 75 95 01 01 00 03 02 02 00

    Code for LMI Cisco
    *Jan 24 20:05:25.025: Serial0/1/0(out): StEnq, myseq 5, yourseen 4, DTE up
    *Jan 24 20:05:25.025: datagramstart = 0xEE600494, datagramsize = 13
    *Jan 24 20:05:25.025: FR encap = 0xFCF10309
