MPLS FRR Looping ISSUE.
Ref INE VOD.
Hi,
I have buildup beneath setup on my dyanmips to do MPLS FRR practise.
A-E ,A-B,B-C,C-F,F-E,B-E.
tunnel CA on Router C using dynamic following path C-B-A
Router C :
- int tunnel CA
- ip unnun lo0
- tunnel destination A.A.A.A
- tunnel mode mpls traffic-eng
- tunnel-mode traffic-eng path-option 10 dynamic
- tunnel-mode traffic-eng fast-reroute
frr on router B --- patch B-E-A .
Router B:
- int tunnel BA
- ip unnumbered lo0
- tunnel destination A.A.A.A
- tunnel mode mpls traffic-eng
- tunnel mpls traffic-eng path-option ------- path option is B-E-A
E F
A B C
The problem is when i am testing the MPLS FRR initially traffice is flowing C-B-E-A but later it's following C-B-C-F-B-E-A
In other words i can see some looping .

I’m not sure what your question is exactly. Looping with MPLS TE is okay because the label values are unique and you should eventually get to the final destination, even if it’s a sub-optimal path.
