OER : Select BR exit point using Link Group

Topology :

Source  -----  MC  ------ BR-1  (Traffic class A) ------ Destination

                           ----- BR-2  (Traffic class B) ------

I want  traffic  class A go via BR-1 and traffic class B go via BR-2.

My config:

oer master

 policy-rules OER

 border <BR1> key-chain OER

  interface <external>

       link-group BR1

 border <BR2> key-chain OER

  interface <external >

        link-group BR2

oer-map OER 10

     match traffic-class access-list <A>

     set mode route control

     set mode monitor active

     set active-probe echo <destination>

     set link-group BR1 fallback BR1                         //Force to always user BR1

oer-map OER 20

     match traffic-class access-list <B>

     set mode route control

     set mode monitor active

     set active-probe echo <destination>

     set link-group BR2 fallback BR2                      //Force to always use BR2

But  when i run "show oer master traffic class" , both traffic class select one of the BR.

What i'm missing here ?

Is the destination must be External or BGP route ?

  • Is this the complete OER config? I don't see any internal interfaces configured which is required for OER.

Also, you have link-groups configured that fall back to themselves. Why use link groups?

What is the default IGP routing scheme? Are you routing to only one border router by default?

It kinda sounds like you're using OER for traffic engineering when it's really meant for dynamic traffic RE-engineering.
