I am wondering if i could do custom labs (i.e Ciscopress CCIE security practice labs) on INE racks.
My recommendation would be to use racks that have the correct topology from the beginning or you will spend a lot of time remapping interfaces and converting configs to getting everything working as expected.
It can probably be done but there are easier solutions. Using Dynamips is also an option.
I believe Dynamips is the best option here, as you can "cable" your devices as per the physical topology of Ciscopress.
Thanks for the replies, I tried GNS3 but i had problems emulating IPS using qemu and i dont want to break my studies to fix GNS problems.
But if thats the only solution then i guess i have to spend some time trying to get it stable.
Yes - that's the drawback with GNS3. Here is an excellent reference for setting up IPS on GNS3:
Also check this link from Joe Astorino. He has a real nice setup.
Very nice document thank you for all of this I am most grateful.
