ATOM

Hi,

ATOM can be used for ipv6?

RA----fr-----RB -- mpls ---- RC ---- PPP----RD.

  • AToM pseudowire can transport IPv4, IPv6 or other payload.

But AToM would be set up using LDP  directed session, and LDP can be set up using IPv4 only.

So create your core using IPv4, and transport whatever you like across your AToM pseudowires

  • Hi,

i did beneath configurtion on RB (FR) AND RC (PPP).

I can see ipv4 routes on RA AND RD and also i can ping.

But I can't see ipv6 routers . what would be the reason.

    RB:

    psec-wire FR
     encapsulaiton l3tpv3
     ip local int l0
     internetworking ip
    !

connect FR ser 0/0 xxx l2transport
     xconnect RC lo0 PW-class FR

    RC

    psec-wire PPP
     encapsulaiton l3tpv3
     ip local int l0
     internetworking ip
    !

    INT S0/0
     xconnect RB lo0 PW-class PPP

  • As I've mentioned, only like-to-like pseudowires can carry v6 traffic right now...
Any-to-Any are not supported as interworking ipv6 would be needed.
When you issue the command interworking ip, you are using IPv4 interworking, not v6.

    IPv6 interworking is not supported.

    Cheers, Gustavo
