By Default Cisco routers negotiate and establish VC type 5 (Ethernet type transport) circuits between them. Actually for EoMPLS or VPLS two VC types exist, VC type 4 (VLAN mode) and VC type 5 (Port Mode). The difference between VC 4 and VC 5 is that in VC 5 the VLAN tag is not transferred (it is removed and not trasnmitted)over MPLS. Bandiwtdh is saved in that way.

what i understand is
transport-mode ethernet is by default .
VPLS speaking and supported Cisco platforms yes, default is VC type 5.

Thanks.
What is VLAN over VPLS.
Check RFCs 4448 (section 4.4.1) and 4762 (section 7.1)
