yo mate. Just to check if you got the question asking about SIP troubleshooting? How do we go about doing that? I did not answer that as I do not know how but I manage to put a call through via the SIP trunk. Can share your answer on that?
Thanks!

Where'd you take your lab?
You should let others know how the lab environment was setup (non-NDA) and what techniques you used to stay focused during your exam.
Best of luck! I got my number about 24 hours after I completed my lab in San Jose.
It's alrite man. In fact the lab is not tough at all. Just need more accuracy and less careless mistake. I think I failed becuase of too careless though all working. Got to be more vigilant. Good luck man.
I advanced with vmware part on this portable CCIE-V Lab.
As far I'm the best performance is with the virtual machine using the actual RAM on PC. On the other hand I buy an external disk (WD My Book 500G 7200RPM) with eSATA interface and a PCMCIA eSATA Card and Cable (PNY) to my Dell Latitude D630 2G Centrino (I've ordered an upgrade to 4G and is coming to boost the performance). The reason is to isolate the OS disk from Vmware disk. Yes you may say that I lost some portability but the real thing is when you are labbing you will be in a place for at least 4 hours, and the disk is external and so you can take with you with a little weight on your backpack.
The other thing has to do with the Vmware harddisk configuration. When you are building your machine try to set up the hard disk as Independent and persistent, later when you finish change to non persistent. That way you can do all configuration, restart, etc, but when you power off the VM all the changes are gone and you will have a Clean CallManager, Unity, IPCC, etc
But you can't simulate the ISDN part on complete virtual, also the CUE, DSP (media resources) is another important! VM and Dynamips can't give you the voice lab, RS you can.

The best tool for troubleshooting SIP at the gateway level is "debug ccsip messages"
For troubleshooting at CUCM, I'd turn on SIP traces via Serviceability. Then, from the CLI, use the following command (memorize it!):
file tail activelog /cm/trace/ccm/sdi recent
awwww man.sorry to hear that.. np I am sure u learned from the last tho... I am so nervous!!!!!!!!!
^^ Keep at it, you'll get it next go 'round
