PfR Profile Phase - 03/18/2010
Great lecture..
PfR Profile Phase - 03/18/2010
This is part 3 in the PfR series
Anthony Sequeira threatened to play his guitar in the near feature. [:P] There is a guest speaker Terry of the TECHEDIT team!
00:03:00 - 0:10:50:
- intro into the topic of Profiling, documentation on PfR is not really in a flow that makes sense. Do not go into lab crossing your fingers that you willnot get PfR/OER.
- setting up the BR and MC is probably the depth you will get tested at
- Profile: traffic classes 2 categories of traffic classes: prefix based or application based class
- first off, how wil you classify?
- Will it be automatically profiled using Netflow? Or waill you create OER-Policies (similar to Route-maps)
- NET_OG NOTE//////PLEASE NOTE: there is now a LEARN LIST (as of "12.4.(15)T" ): this wasn't covered in the lecture
0:10:50 - 0:19:00:
- hands-on starts here
- review how to define BR and MC... this is really the CORE of what you need for the CCIE.
0:19:50 - 46:00:
- begin PROFILE hands-on section
- defaults: 120 minutes periodic-interval every 5 minutes for monitor-period
- LEARN is covered for different protocols and using a prefix-list
- verification "sho oer master" and more
- 0:39:00 dynamic learning of a traffic class
- 0:41:35: manually configure monitored prefixes
