Why we can't change the order of the Media Resources in MRG , what is the reason from that.
and as I mentioned after I click SAVE the order change to:

1-CFB
2-MTP

  • Hi,

To quote a Cisco webpage: “MRGs are logical groupings of media resources.",
and “MRGLs are an ordered list of MRGs.“ Taken from:
    )

Alas: MRG's are simply a list of available resources, order matters not. If
you want to order resources, You do so by adding them to MRG's, and then add
those MRG's into MRGL's. Assign the MRGL's to devices.

Example: If you have a MTP, a MOH and a CNF on each of two servers. But you
always want devices to use resources from server 2 first. You would have to
make at least two MRG's, and create the order in a MRGL. Note: When ordering
in a MRGL, the next in line resource is not utilized until the previous
resource is either out of resources, or just not available.

    MRG 1= MTP_1 MOH_1 CNF_1
    MRG 2= MTP_2 MOH_2 CNF_2

    MRGL 1= MRG_2 MRG_1

Hope this helps (But read the tech doc for a deeper understanding)

    Lasse

  • In addition to that, all the resources under MRG will be load balanced.
