Vol2. lab6 11.2 One button login not working

I always get the error the password you entered is invalid even though I have rekeyed the password several times. When I use

http://177.1.10.40:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentInitial.jsp instead of http://177.1.10.40:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentLogin.jsp and I enter the same credentials on the phone physically it works. I have both URLs configured under different names. Anyone with any ideas?

Thanks.

  • Hello,

Where are you entering the credentials for the service? Under the Subscribe service configuration menu associated to the agents phone?

  • Yes under the subscribe service configuration for the phone.

  • Hi Malon,

What are the fields you are filling in for the service when you entering the credentials?

    Thanks

  • Extension

    Name

    Password

  • Does the difference below matter? Why the difference in this two URLs?

  • Hello Malon,

The three parameters that you should be adding to the service are shown below:

    Ext
    ID
    Pwd

The parameters must be named with the above names in order to be properly recognized. Once you update the service through the service configuration page, go back to the phone, resubscribe, and enter the data for the new fields, then reset the phone, and the one button login should work.

  • I tried with that I still got the same response of invalid password.

  • Are you entering the PIN or the password that you assign to the user that is associated with the phone?

  • The one issue that can commonly occur here is related to the parameters. Make sure they all entered as shown below and note that they are Case Sensitive when adding them to the service.

    Ext
    ID
    Pwd

  • did you get this to work ?, i am facing the exact same problem using the exact same name for the parameters and using password in the Pwd parameter and not PIN

  • was doing parameters incorrect, now ok

  • Hi Josh

    I have used Ext,ID,Pwd

but i am facing same problem i.e invalid password

I have made Ext and ID must parameters and password as optional.

I am running CUCM 7 on demo license does it have to do with this?

    Waiting for your eply

    Regards,

  • I know this might be a stupid question, but humor me - have you tried changing the password to something very, very simple, such as "1", and trying it then?

Also, Do you have the Agent registered as a resource (and visible in UCCX as one), and assigned to a CSQ?

  • Yes i have tried simple passwords but it didnt worked and cti ports are registered with cucm and call flow is flawless

It was working properly(logging into service) before but now its not I thought that may b it has something to do with demo license file.

tell me that when i have made password an optional field and didnt entered ANY password in subscribe credentials then how come its saying that password is invalid??

    Thanks for replying

    Regards,

  • What URL are you using for the service? Can you paste it here please?

I have tried IPAgentLogin.jsp too but it also didnt worked
  • The IPAgentLogin.jsp is for when you have parameters added, not the IPAgentInitial.jsp.

But I tell you what, try removing all of your params, and leaving the IPAgentInitial.jsp for the time being, and then try to manually login on the IP phone, and report your progress to us.

  • Hi,

I just completed a similar task today, without any issues at all.
Using this link as the phone service:
    http://177.1.10.40:6293/ipphone/jsp/sciphonexml/IPAgentInitial.jsp
It’s important to note that the parameters are case sensetive
    ID
    Pwd
    Ext

Take a look at this old doc from cisco on how the service should be
    configued:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/custcosw/ps1846/products_tech_note09186a008029e6d5.shtml

And just be 100% sure :
    - The username / password is correct
    - The user is controlling the device
    - The user is CTI enabled
    - The device has the user confiured as primary user
    - The Resource user is configured with the correct uesrnam/pwd
    - The Resource user is controlling the device

And if you could provide us with the exact error message displayed on the
phone, it could possibly help sorting out exactly what your problem is.
If you’re at INE’s rack, have you tried reconfiguring the integration?

    Lasse

  • Hi,

I think demo licenses doesnot support.

  • The demo license works just fine for everything you need for the lab exam, including IPPA with one button login.

  • Hi Mark,

I know this is and old thread but im having the exact same problem im following your videos for uccx deep dives and i cannot get the IP Phone Agent to work i always get your Agent id or password is invalid.

I have trying using One button login and also the normal way with same results i googled a bit and im getting this error in the UCCX log.

    IPPASvr0001.log

I think UCCX is not finding the users in CUCM DC or something like that i just cant figure out why i validated that the CTI app user , Telecaster USer etc have the correct user and password. And have the cotrolled devices . Also all users have standard CTI enabled and the correct controlled device, the phones have the correct owner user id

I dont know what else to do to troubleshoot this.

    Plz help
