Task 3.18 Incorrect local-pref value

Definitively not my favority subject (OER).

Anyway, I configured  mode route metric bgp local-pref 6000, and have a look at my bgp entry:

Rack1R5#sh oer border routes bgp
BGP table version is 40, local router ID is 0.0.0.0
Status codes: s suppressed, d damped, h history, * valid, > best, i - internal,
              r RIB-failure, S Stale
Origin codes: i - IGP, e - EGP, ? - incomplete
OER Flags: C - Controlled, X - Excluded, E - Exact, N - Non-exact, I - Injected

Network          Next Hop        OER    LocPrf Weight Path
*>i150.1.1.0/24     155.1.13.1      XN      5000      0 100 i
*> 150.1.6.0/24     155.1.45.4      CE                0 100 i

Not exactly 6000...

Anyone familiar with this?

  • Hello,

I also experienced the same issue.

When the OER process starts, it uses LocPrf of 5000 as the default value. After configuring the LocPrf value to 6000, I tried clearing the oer learn prefixes, but this still did not refresh the LocPrf to 6000.

I needed to restart the OER process for the change to take effect. This seems like an over-kill to refresh the policy on OER.

Anyone else have any suggestions on how to refresh a newly configured LocPrf value once the OER process has already began? (without restarting the OER process)

    Thank you.

    Mario.
