End-to-End QoS
I need some clarification on the end to end qos process.
AccessSwitch1 - Voice/Data Ports using "Auto QoS voip cisco-phone", Trunk Uplink to 6500_Core1 using "Auto QoS voip trust"
6500_Core1 - Trunk uplink from AccessSwitch1 using "mls qos trust cos" - Nothing on the SVI for Voice Vlans to AccessSwitch1, Access port to Voice 2811 router using "mls qos trust cos" - Nothing on the SVI connecting to 2811 Voice Router
Voice_2811 - L3 interface with Service-policy outbound (match voice/set dscp) to ISP, L3 interface with Service-policy outbound (match voice/set dscp) to 6500_Core1
AccessSwitch1 - 6500_Core1 - Voice_2811 - ISP
Question1 - Cisco Phone tags dscp 5 by default and we are trusting the CoS on AccessSwitch1 port, this voice traffic exits the trunk to 6500_Core1. Do I need to enable any qos on the 6500_Core1 SVI for the Voice Vlans or is it sufficient enough for the "mls qos trust cos" on the trunk uplink on 6500_Core1 from AccessSwitch1?
Question2 - In this particular network design, where would I configure "mls qos trust dscp"? is it needed?
