ccie lab payment via credit card

    Hi,

I booked my CCIE lab exam in San Jose for October 2, 2009 and my payment due date is on July 4, 2009. I only paid for the exam just yesterday, June 30, 2009, so my question would be:

Is there enough time for my credit card payment to be processed so my schedule won't get dropped?  Currently my status on the Cisco CCIE lab scheduling is "Paid via Credit Card: Pending Approval".

I also noticed that July 3 is a holiday in the US so I was hoping that I would still be able to secure the lab date I booked.

Would you know whom to call at Cisco for me to escalate my dilemma?

    Thanks in advance.

Ha, imagine that, I had a problem with my credit card, silently declining payment. If there is a problem and the payment is declined, you will still get an email from customer service saying so. After which, you will be able to clear it with your bank and attempt again, they will NON automatically drop your exam date.

    Thanks Kimi and Andrei,

It is relieving to know that Cisco would not automatically drop my booked exam due to failure to pay 3-10 days prior to the due date.  I was just worried that Cisco would automatically drop my booked exam even I already initiated payment.

    Whew! ;-)

Sure, just make sure you pay again when the initial payment is declined :)

I scheduled my lab date within the 3 months period, so payment was due imediately. You will get a confirmation to your email, but if you really want some piece of mind open the case with CertSupport. The link is in one of the previous posts.

    Don't worry! :)

    Here are some timelines:

    1) I payed for my lab on May 3rd (already due).

    2) I got a payment declined email on May 7th

    3) I resubmitted the payment on May 7th

    4) Got the email confirmation of payment received on May 8th.

    Hope this helps!

    Hey Ed,

Cisco said that they will process the credit card payments on the due date so we do not have to worry. You may call this number 18004624726 and speak with a customer service, let us see if they give us the same answer because I tried calling twice and got different ones.  At the least they said not to worry as long as you have no issues with your credit card.

    Cheers mate.

I managed to snipe a lab date for next week a few days ago, and was also worried about credit card payment processing time.

Cisco certification support said basically not to worry, show up to my lab.  "The delay in having your payment processed will not affect your lab date."

My opinions are of my own and not those of my employers

I just gave up an October 8th seat in San Jose.  No way I can feel comfortable about being ready, so I figured I would bite the bullet and reschedule for December
