    Multicast PIM Neighbors

I am doing the Multicast Volume 1 labs version 4.1.  I have the topology (physical/logical as per IE) with OSPF area 0 connecting R1 through R6 and SW and SW2.  When is show ip pim neighbors on R2 it shows all interfaces running PIM on the ethernet segment as neighbors.  Just wanted to check to see if anyone knew why all the neighbors show up, I thought that only directly connected neighbors would show up.  Below is the output from R2.

    r2#sh ip pim neighbor
    PIM Neighbor Table
Mode: B - Bidir Capable, DR - Designated Router, N - Default DR Priority,
          S - State Refresh Capable
    Neighbor          Interface                Uptime/Expires    Ver   DR
    Address                                                            Prio/Mode

    150.1.15.1        GigabitEthernet0/0       1d01h/00:01:15    v2    1 / S
    150.1.56.5        GigabitEthernet0/0       1d01h/00:01:15    v2    1 / S
    150.1.24.4        GigabitEthernet0/0       1d03h/00:01:30    v2    1 / S

    Re: Multicast PIM Neighbors

You should only see neighbors with directly connected devices.

R2 should _only_ be neighbors with R1 (Frame Relay) and R4 (VLAN 24). The output here suggests that R2's Gig0/0 is on the same VLAN as R6, R5, and R1.
