    Incorrect bandwidth when applying QoS

    Hi all,

     

    I'm trying to implement QoS on a router by reserving 5% bandwidth for traffic destined to port 992, and everything else gets the remaining 95%. The outgoing interface is G0/0, however its a VPLS WAN Link with 10 Mbps available bandwidth. Reserving 5% of 10 Mbps would mean 0.5 Mbps (500 Kbps) which should be enough for the amount of traffic flowing (its just secure Telnet).

    It should have been a pretty straigh-forward config, however the show policy-map interface command shows the 5% bandwidth comes out to be 250 Kbps instead of 500 Kbps.

    I've verified all the config and can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Specifically the bandwidth command is set to 10000 - which should be dictating the available bandwidth for calculation.

    Can the wider community have a look at the config and some show outputs - maybe I'm missing out something.
