    Workbook IV and Dynamips

    Gents,

From the various feedback on this forum and others, it appears that the troubleshooting portion of the R/S lab is actually just IOS running on IOU or some derivative of Dynamips. This makes sense as it is not financially practical to build out such a topology for the number of students taking the lab. My question is, can or will the version 4 workbook be adapted to run on dynamips? Much of the troubleshooing in the lab is L3 centric and not so much on L2, again due to limitation of the underlying virualization platform being used, so it would make sense that these labs are available for dynamips.

    Thoughts/Comments/Concerns are welcome

    All the best!

    Yeah - a Dynamips V4 sounds awesome!

We just need time to get there - right now the focus is on improvements to V1 and 2 - and we have an excellent suggestion for MPLS to be added to V 3.

But thanks for this awesome idea.

    Anthony,

Appreciate the speedy response. I never look to give anyone additional work, but this is one instance that I break my rule. Out of curiosity, besides the instructors, do people on this forum think this would be worth the time of the INE's team to create such a workbook? Beyond practical expirience, what do people do to develop/sharpen troubleshooting skills?
