SP WP2 5.2 - Is there a way to make traffic between VLAN5 and VLAN6 work without LDP-session inside the tunnel?

I'll post this same thing here on SP technical since only very few people seem to read the workbook sections. Sorry for that!

As you all know, if you have a TE-tunnel which endpoint is non-PE router you'll have to use "mpls ip" and accept targeted LDP-sessions in order not to break the LSP between PE-routers.

In task 5.2 you're asked to run traffic between R4 and R5 for VLANs 5 and 6. Problem is that R3 pops (PHP) tunnel-label before sending it to R4 and due to this R4 sees the VPN-label and doesn't know what to do with it (or at least it doesn't forward it to R6 :)

In task 4.1 it was stated that LDP or TDP shall not be used. Is there a way to solve the TE-tunnel problem without enabing LDP/TDP no the tunnel?

It works just great when I propagate and additional label through the tunnel so that R4 doesn't get exposed to the VPN-label.

Same thing with task 5.3 it seems.

Havd not looked at the question but try targeted ldp session. Fixes most issues

That's what I thought also when doing the lab, but you can't execute the command on the interface unless it's running LDP/TDP ! (entire MPLS topology was over TE-tunnels, LDP wasn't run at all).
