    You mentioned in your STP Protection Mechanism chapter that:

    "When one of these Portfast ports receives a BPDU, the combination of Portfast global feature and the BPDU global feature will cause the port to lose its Portfast status and it just becomes a regular port connected to that switch in a point-to-point manner"

    IS this defualt Cisco Catalyst switch behavior?? or there some more explanation behind this....

    Can you please ellaborate on this point ......possibly with an example...

    The default Cisco behavior is this:

    If you configure BPDUFilter and PortFast globally for all interfaces....when a PortFast port receives a BPDU, it will immediately lose its PortFast status.
